     @chjara @natty years ago, maybe even the 1990s I saw a mouse with a little pea sized trackball where the scroll wheel usually is that did omnidirectional scrolling.

     @Moon @natty @chjara Apple had a mouse like that. The tiny little ball would get dirty super quick and it would gum up and jam or scroll like shit.

     @gray @natty @Moon @chjara I remember this trash. You couldn't right-click unless your index finger was OFF the left-click side of the mouse, since it used touch sensors instead of two physical buttons to determine whether you wanted to left click (index finger touching left side, whether middle finger was touching right side or not) or right click (middle finger touching right side AND index finger NOT touching left side).
     
     And the scroll ball was stupidly hard to actually turn...You had to push down on the mouse, inadvertently clicking it.

     @victor @natty @gray @chjara I vaguely remember an issue where I would try to middle click and it would roll slightly and the mouse would move and you'd middle click the wrong thing. I can't recall if ti was the apple mouse or the other one
