   Can someone please explain to this idiot that general strikes work? I mean seriously, go to @ravenonthill@mastodon.social and give them your best argument for general strikes.

     For a contemporary example just look at several more or less successful French and French Caribbean general strikes in the last couple of decades.

     @Radical_EgoCom This argument pretty much amounts to "fighting back against the oppressor can result in being oppressed harder, so we shouldn't do it", which is not only self-defeatism, but put forth as an argument to others, amounts to outright collaboration.

     @Radical_EgoCom Like, the reason to debate a numbnut like this one is to convince the peanut gallery around the numbnut that their idea is bad. But in this forum, at this time, I am.... skeptical of a sufficient peanut gallery that isn't already convinced that the numbnut bootlicker's idea is bad exists to make it worth the hassle.
