   it would be really funny if i end up writing a network stack for my 286 os project, and i only bother to implement ipv6 and consider ipv4 deprecated

     my systems language of choice is likely to be forth, but i'll be implementing based on the latest standard (2012 i think?)
     
     i also plan to have a wasm32 environment, and several features of my os are designed around making that possible and reasonable despite running on a 16 bit cpu

     @linear at one point I considered trying to hold an "interop" meeting (IETF events to showcase IPv6 working) only for retro stuff during the Alchimie… still haven't managed but I'm quite confident it will happen before IPv4 is decommissioned 😄
