Social Security is a wage-deferrent program that is NOT available to people until they reach a minimum age of 62 (for now, because there are efforts ongoing to increase the age of entry even more), and is also woefully insufficient at barely above poverty-level rates.
Disability benefits are means tested and highly restricted so that even many truly disabled are denied, and their rates are even worse.

I suspect this to be a scam. If you truly are diabled, there is Social Security Disability benefits you would be eligible for. Also, there are low income/subsidized housing that rent goes according to your income. Plus food stamps and medicaid for nourishment and healthcare.

That is incorrect. My late husband was on Social Securtiy Disability at age 40. I also have a disabled daughter on Social Security Disability. I do know what I'm talking about

That is SSDI, a totally different program from traditional Social Security, that requires so many hoops to jump that people are regularly rejected multiple times before they have to seek legal help to get approved. Trust me on that; I'm currently applying for federal disability benefits myself, as required by my former workplace insurer that is currently handling my current disability plan.

In this instance and section of the Fediverse we practice compassion, empathy, and actual care for the marginalized and underprivileged. We do NOT try, convict, and sentence them for seeking aid, nor do we simply mock their suffering from afar.
Just because you got assistance doesn't mean that it's a breeze for everyone else. Try helping them get in, rather than pulling up the ladder and carping from above.
