Yes. The composition and infoboxes were done in god damn LibreOffice Draw. Be careful since the file is so complex that even on my monster machine it is very slow. I also wanted to make logo in it as well with its equivalent of WordArt but its 3D capabilities were limited...
Also the 3d effects behind infoboxes is a massive hack, there's extra infoboxes behind "real" ones with 3d effect applied and scaled and positioned in such way you can't really see the front of it, just the "trail". turfposter.odg
@hj unused sprites - veteran with alternate cap. In game his hat has something undecipherable, just unicode boxes or maybe hebrew or katakna or hangul depending on how much alcohol you had, so question was what to draw there. I came up with two options - one is "Sugoi" as subtle reference to the my beloved game center where the poster hangs now, other was Bonzer, some australian slang for "cool" or something, it was featured in amazing Neo Turf Masters animation https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/jaime-r/neo-turf-masters-triple-bogey although you'd need a frame-by-frame slowmo to notice it. Another is just Young Hero with slightly different pose, a happy accident.

Selecting poses was not easy if you have to take group pose composition into account. Also, in game characters all look almost identical - nazca essentially reused and recolored "torso" sprite for all golfers and only head is different but not by much. Setz did an amazing job making every character unique and different. I provided my headcanons and some facts about how characters play (i.e. veteran is frail and old but still strong, power golfer is a buff dude but has poor control, putt master is japanese, young hero is "generic protagonist, easy to associate with" etc.)
I also sorta wanted technician to have one of the bogey poses and shot maker would hold a trophy but decided everyone should be happy and more or less equal.
@hj just the characters, as drawn by setzeri. All poses are references to in-game sprites. Poster has a little dark "SSAO" halo to make them stand out better on such colorful background.
Shot Maker, german guy is at top and in the middle, being the most popular character, Power Golfer being the TAS favorite is also in center at the bottom. Veteran and Putt Master being somewhat second popular characters are next to them. Young Hero is to the left, pretty much where he appears in character select, and Technician is on the right. Technician is also visibly upset because he's the most underappreciated and underpowered character in the game. Or maybe he's excited that he just got a Hole-in-One?
@hj the svg and the blender file I used for the logo, SVG was made with inkscape by tracing over some of the printed version of the logo. Blender doesn't really import the gradient from svg so i had to remake it using a shader. There's also some hackery with the 3D because 1) logo itself is faux-3d, it's orthographic so text looks flat, but to create depth i had to fake it by shifting the "extrusion" part of it and shrinking it. There's also some concessions with the outlines, Importing svg into blender is wonky and creates glitches, and I really didn't want to do it three times, so i made some hacks to create the "shadow" effect, and to avoid shadow being cast on the white outline i made it have emission shader. The 8K render of it is here https://shigusegubu.club/notice/AWzeWtZYOaAcLQuWum i think it turned out ok but it annoys me to no end that the O is very... polygonal, i can't unsee it and now you can't unsee it too, just don't stare at it.
Also I was wondering if I should include the ™️ symbol, but as far as I know NAZCA/SNK lost their rights to "Neo Turf Masters" because of conflict with some other entity that owns "The Masters" and "Masters Tournament" or something so they just sold it under its japanese name "Big Tournament Golf", so I thought it doesn't matter anymore in 2023 and the ™️ is an eyesore https://delistedgames.com/neo-turf-masters/
Also I originally wanted to make logo in different software but it wasn't very cooperative.
P.S. you might see it in the photo in OP that in-game logo is a bit different, the extrusion is much longer and I think font is thinner, i think there's different variations of the logo all over the official media. I mean, it's pretty simple and no one really cares, it's not like it's a Metal Slug logo, it's just a golf game...
@hj the full resolution, done by me in Krita while listening/watching bob ross and trying to mimic his technique. A sorta recreation of one of the backgrounds in the game. NAZCA is the company who made the game, as they were known after people in it parted ways with irem and before they were bought by SNK.
Resolution of it is somewhat smaller, I originally thought of making poster A2 sized but ended up going for A0 or so because I was worried text in infoboxes would be unreadable. I think it ended up rather good even scaled since, well, it's a background, it's not the main feature.
