Are poly folks usually pretty understanding if you said like, it's not a deal breaker for being friends/FWBs but would be a deal breaker for relationships? -

@eris i might word it slightly differently. but i think a lot of poly people know that not all friends (including fwb) are people you want to live with or whatever. some people that are fun, aren't reliable.

@eris I think generally "I'm not up for a relationship with somebody poly, but FWBs is fine" is chill, but "I want you to stop being poly if we start a relationship" generally is much harder.

@eris cant speak for all poly folks but answering for myself yeah i would be understanding of that, and ime ive never known anyone who's not eris likes this. -

@exiliaex yeah I'm not sure how to word it properly. Like I'm all for knowing more people, caring about more people in my life etc but I also know that if we're romantically _committing_ and not just taking it casual, then I don't want to be in a polycule or to have to share the person I'm committing too (triggers my BPD when it comes to relationships) -
