Most writers and artists I know struggle while working one or two day jobs, often in the hospitality industry or some adjacent service capacity, all while being evicted, quitting, searching for shelter and new opportunities while caring for children, and most writers I know demonstrate interest in and explore a variety of arts. They often consider themselves lucky to squeeze out a blog post.
