     @ipg There actually is something that looks kind of like this that’s a standard(ish) for use in Point of Sale systems called “PoweredUSB”!

     @ipg their square USDDB 'type B' connector is interesting. It's a grey-blue colour but not larger at all – all the extra contacts fit because it's bigger on the inside.
