     Yeah, I was just reading up on this yesterday, there's an argument in Mastodon's github saying RSS isn't supposed to have a title, and they're putting the blame on Wordpress, but of course that doesn't help people who depend on Wordpress 🙄

     The suggested workaround there was a plugin called Include Mastodon Feed:

     Thanks. I think the problem is that Mastodon posts don't contian a "title" per se, so when you try to build an RSS feed with "http://mstdn.games/@buru5.rss" (for example) the result is (attached).

     If you know a workaround for this, that would be great.

     By the way, if you're using wordpress.com, I'd strongly recommend moving to an independent hosting company instead.

     The pricing on wordpress.com for plugin-compatible accounts is crazy, it's double the cost for the same thing on a typical indie host.

     makes sense that the fault would lie with Wordpress, as they control the default widget and -- frankly -- don't have many options.

     ultimately, i would need to upgrade my wordpress to enable a plugin, which i plan to do eventually -- just not right now.

     appreciate the insight.

     Gandi.net is pretty good.

     But there are literally hundreds of these companies out there, so I don't know if I can say which one is best :)
