@Aywren@gamepad.club This might interest you when it comes to email safety. Personally I have an email address that I give to nobody and use for absolutely nothing. I then have a bunch of aliases, those send my mail to the main address and when I reply the replies show as if they are coming from the alias. This is easily achieved if you make an account on mailbox.org It costs some money but the price is laughably cheap and the service is absolutely worth it, especially for the price. Along with the email you also get a bunch of other services like cloud storage. You get up to 25 aliases you can use to receive and send mail plus I think 50 throw away, self destructing aliases you can use to subscribe to things you may not care about anymore in the future. You can extend the self destruct time if you need it longer.
Someone attempted to reset my Internet Provider account password - I know this because I got an email with a passcode that I did not request.
I did change the account password and called up support to notify and make sure that's what needed to be done.
I then noticed someone (around the same time) attempted to log in, and fail, several times to my email account. It's protected with 2FA, but still an uncomfortable thought. Changed that password, too!
