   Kernel on my Lappy’s OS got corrupted so now it won’t boot :notlikeganyu:

     @che5hire@buff.tomboyfan.club :blobcat_flop_woozy: time to boot into live system and rebuild the kernel (happened to me too a couple of weeks ago, because system crashed mid update)

     @che5hire@buff.tomboyfan.club if it just corrupted your boot image, it should be enough to mount your system in the live system, chroot into it and rebuild the boot image. no data should be lost doing that

     @puniko I’ll have to learn how to do that since I’ve never had this happen before :akko_derp:. Shouldn’t be too hard to figure out though?

     Worst case scenario I intentionally made sure anything important on there was backed up on other devices so I don’t mind just reinstalling. I just hope I actually remembered to have a separate /home partition so I don’t have to copy over stuff like my SSH keys and i3 config :akko_mmh:
