   I adopted my ball python in 2002, and he was born in 1997. I've lived with Monty for longer than I've lived with my husband or my partner. I've known him longer than both human relationships, combined.

   This could have been an "adopt, don't shop" message, or "make sure you know how long animals live", but I don't mean it that way, really. I just find it really surprising that the person who's known me the longest is a snake.
