De-prioritizing news is a mistake for Threads. Twitter’s cultural relevancy was much less about celebs and brands than about news and politics. Without news and politics, you don’t get the journalists. Without journalists, no one is hyping up what’s happening on your platform!

  @tiffanycli What could be an interesting angle, once they build federation with Mastodon in, they'll get the news and politics from here, while not needing to foster/prioritize it themselves.
