     I think two things contribute to this.

     One is being able to choose a server who’s moderation matches your style.

     The other is that most server admins make sure they have enough mods. Most social media doesn’t scale responsibly.

     Obviously it depends on the server. But I find that the fedi has much better moderation than most social media.
