Google, I gave you a recovery email address to verify new logins. I used this recovery email address to verify a new login. Why are you now demanding I give you my phone number? How is that any more verifiable? Something tells me you just want my phone number.

there arent many peoples who pay more than one phone subscribtion, so its a very neat way that they can verify how many accounts you have -
