   Whether people left twitter because they wanted an alternative to twitter which does things somewhat differently by design, or because they wanted twitter as it used to be pre-Musk, seems like the deciding factor in whether they're willing to adapt to fediverse or just join a corporate twitter clone instead.

     I was already extremely done with twitter's culture long before Musk bought the thing, so fedi was the ideal thing for me.
