QTs + easier onboarding + engagement stats = the reason people are leaving Mastodon, and will use Threads instead.
As I and many others with experience predicted: Threads doesn't need to federate, so all the virtue signaling on here was a total waste of time. That effort should have been spent on bringing much-needed features to Mastodon.
