     My local social history museum has an annexe for the Edward Thomas Fellowship and his #poetry graces various places. "Sowing" was one in the cafe and reminded me of you.

     The first two verses:

     It was a perfect day
     For sowing; just
     As sweet and dry was the ground
     As tobacco-dust.

     I tasted deep the hour
     Between the far
     Owl’s chuckling first soft cry
     And the first star.
