@matthannon I left when Elmo took over and never regretted it. Mastodon takes some time to get used to, but it's well worth it and I discover amazing, new people and communities on a regular basis.

  I have returned from the birdsite.
  For a couple of months, it felt like things had got better.
  How naïve I was.
  It's been trashed & is mostly a playground for #ClimateChange denialists.
  Feeling a strong sense of loss (again).
