     I feel bad for the #AlmaLinux and #RockyLinux communities. Did they know the extent to which they operate at the mercy of #RedHat?

     @ernie @Motherboard @geerlingguy I appreciate the honesty from #RedHat.

     If the license allows it, and they are OK with the potential trade-off of reputation for revenue, it's their call.

     This move will only help the Linux ecosystem because there are many choices for handling enterprise (and smaller) workloads.

     Nobody wants to switch distros because that means extra work, but sometimes that's the way the cookie crumbles.

     @passthejoe @Motherboard @geerlingguy I thought that was important to get in. I don’t think everyone will love that, but if nothing else, it’s at least direct about what they’re trying to do.

     “Something that we’ll continue to work on going forward is making sure that we’re being fair with pricing if we have pricing at all—there’s plenty of free stuff still,” he says. “But we also don’t feel obligated to try to cater to every possible Linux user. There are tons of choices out there. People are welcome to choose what’s best for them.”
