   @DoubleTreble I ain't lying I'm basing him on myself, my personality so I can write a genuine book on a black teen growing up in the US. anxiety, stress , ambition. I'm trying to sort of map out how my life could go and then fit in little changes to change the timeline. I don't want it to be too heavy. I want readers to laugh and cry.

     You sound like you really know the journey want to take Corey on in this story!
     I definitely wouldn't be your target reader, but I very often enjoy young adult fiction 😀

     @DoubleTreble I just want the reader to be able to relate to Corey. But I appreciate that I am seeing him from my viewpoint so may attract younger teen readers .

     Sounds like you know where you're going with this, it always helps if the reader likes the main character, but they don't always have to be a nice person 😉

     @DoubleTreble Corey is a naive kid . He gets pulled and pushed . He is a nice guy. People take advantage of him including his future wife. My book has his future self coming in warning him and directing his life. Some positive moves some negative. I want the reader to like Corey

     I think you may have the start of something there! I like the premise, but! Why does the female character have to be a bitch?
     Maybe it's just not a good move for either of them 🤔
     It may be a bit of a cliché but time travel rules say don't meet your younger self and don't change what is meant to be!
     Sorry if that's a bit of a spoiler for you 😔

     My first chapter nearly complete. Character is called Corey. 18 year old black kid from dusty ass small town in Tx. Listening to swae lee on his air pods in his bedroom and looks out his window sees a 60 year old guy on the street waving up at him yelling don't fking do it Corey. Don't get married to that bitch ,she will fk you over. Corey lays back laughing 😃 what tf old man , fk dat bitch !
     If only he knew that him in 48 years yeling a warning ⚠️
