   For the life of me, I can't figure out how to include GIFs in my toots when using the browser app.
   Do I need to download them to my computer and add them as an attachment?
   (I have no problems tooting GIFs on mobile apps.)

     You can either attach the GIF file, as you suggest, or you can copy a link to a GIF from a service that hosts GIFS elsewhere. Links to GIFs are automatically embedded in the post, though depending on the viewer's settings it may not play automatically.
