     Also, my thing is this. People have been asking for features for months but have been scoffed at. Folks wanted an easier sign up process but were scoffed at. Folks wanted a RT option but were scoffed at. Folks wanted a more diverse user base but were scoffed at. As evil as Meta is if they entice people to join their network over the current Fediverse with these options, then whose fault is that?

     @BlackAzizAnansi it won't. The people that are on here like it here: HOAs, haters, homogenous and all. The people that come over everytime Elon does something stupid will love #Threads because it'll be easy and ready. The majority of people just want to use social media for fun. They don't give a damn about free software and philosophical debates about surveillance capitalism. They want to see news, memes, and relevant cultural events.
