@pho4cexa I found it very ironic that the mobile version of Zoom would let you zoom but the desktop version does not let you zoom

ah, here's one definite benefit of high dpi displays
when google meet [contrary to any user request or preference] slightly shrinks the shared screen full of code,
[interstitial rant about how shitty fucking google goes out of their way for some reason to make it impossible to have a 1-to-1 full-resolution view]
... it's all fuzzy blur on my normal 1080p monitor but on this laptop's 227 ppi screen it remains readable (with squinting)

working on some frontend website design stuff for the employer with lots of text and photography, checking things look right on the employer-issued retina macbook and going back to my hardware for linux, is beginning to make me envy high-dpi displays. a little.
i think as soon as i get onto wayland so i can have a desktop span a mix of low and high dpi monitors it will be time to upgrade one of 'em
