   …but weirdly, I don’t seem to get those sorts of replies anymore. Used to at first. Frequently. No longer.

   Is it because the Mastodon HOA Enforcer types actually check follower count or account creation date before replying?

   Is it because I’ve already blocked them all?

   Is it because people have actually mellowed the f out?

   Genuinely curious. Newcomers: are you getting splainy “you’re doing it wrong!” replies when you post?

     @inthehands I think our instance got limited by a bunch of others / limited a few big ones, so we’re not showing up in so many federated feeds

     Blah. I wonder whether the more well-meaning people who used to bother me have learned to temper themselves, and it’s now limited to bigots? I would not be surprised.

     BTW, if you get replies like this, and if and only if you’re game for it, please DM me a link so I can test my idea 😈 (un-CCing you, of course). I am so curious to see what happens.

     @inthehands right but you can’t do that at scale - it’s a culture problem, not an individual one. You can school some percentage of them and still more will appear.
