   hey yall! just migrated here from twitter. the rate limit was the final straw.

   still working out the kinks. i have no idea what servers are—or how to use them. local and federated??

   i guess when twitter finally crashes this site will be more simple to use lol.

     @intotheblue_ local is from the server you joined from, federated is posts from all other servers, like the one i`m posting from. U can check #feditips or follow @feditips for one place to get help understanding the fediverse :BlobHajMlem: also welcome o/

     Basically, the servers on here are like providers are for email or phones. You can phone or email anyone in the world whichever provider they use, even if you're on different providers.

     This place is like that, but for social media. You and I are on different servers but we're able to talk because the servers communicate with each other.
