   The belief in what can be grasped and manipulated by the hand is better than what the mind can only barely grasp is a great and essential one, but in taking it to the extreme it reduces man into merely a material object whose ultimate utility is in shaping the world. Is that wrong? Not really

     I think the greatest heights of men have only been reached thanks to sexual selection. Man as merely material is the bugman mentality, and it can be reached when life is too hard for there to be anything but hand to mouth living

     Same problem with the idea of man as a living ATM machine for woman. There has to be more to life
