   As it's not only twitter that's gone down the drain, but also #Reddit, it would be nice to explore alternatives to that.

   Is #Lemmy worthwhile? Anyone able to explain it to a noob? Can I use this mastodon a/c to link up to it or will I need to find and join a new Lemmy instance with a new account?

   If I join one Lemmy instance does that mean I won't see posts in other instances?

     @Lamhfada Lemmy (or Kbin.social) are good.

     You can follow 'communities' (or Magazine's on Kbin) and you can reply to them on Mastodon.

     @Lamhfada Yeah, it's taken me a few days to work it out, but it's getting more popular since there has been a mass exodus from Reddit.

     I am personally on Kbin as they have a better UI/UX compared to Lemmy but of course, personal preference./

     @padraig I set up a #Kbin account there but couldn't seem to find/subscribe to communities so set up a #Lemmy one and that seems to work smoother for me right now (at the very least I was able to post about important things, like #Futurama within moments).
