   The #fandoms on #Twitter are definitely having a very hard time. I think this is a very good opportunity for #Tumblr to launch their #ActivityPub integration and open their platform to the #fediverse.

   Fandoms, especially Asian ones, are familiar with Tumblr already. Tumblr can position themselves as the new place for fandom content.

     @PaxAsteriae @sparkit Same, I haven't heard an update about it. The last time was months ago, and how they've actually coded it in already, just haven't switched it on for public use (or something like that).

     I hope they get on it and it wasn't just an announcement.

     @sparkit @youronlyone Ahh, I see. I've not heard anything on that, no... I hope that if they do actually implement it, then they're taking their time to do it much better than they did with the WP plugin and it's not that there's no news because they decided they couldn't be bothered now it's no longer the hot 'new' thing.

     Although honestly I'm not sure how well it'll go, Automattic have a habit of announcing things and getting bored. They've implemented Activity Pub with a Wordpress plugin already, but it's already out of date...

     @jillithd Yep! The fandoms will benefit greatly if they are in the fediverse. If #Tumblr and #Threads finally switches on their #ActivityPub support, that's a bigger reach than what they can do on the bird site.

     The Star Trek fandom itself is amazing and huge in the fediverse even before the Star Trek reddit communities migrated over. Now, it just doubled.

     I hope Asian fandoms comes sooner than later. ^^

     @youronlyone I miss the dandanies (EXO D.O. fans) on the bird site, and have an ancient Tumblr that I hardly used. Hopefully Tumblr can be a place to reconnect
