   I did petroleum jelly and it worked really really, maybe adding some wax would help too, I'll try that too.

     Yeah that's what I did just used dryer lint mixed with petroleum jelly. I just saw a video of some guy who made a natural rope firer starter that was windproof by soaking it in petroleum jelly then wax after 🤔
