I set up a self-hosted #Gitea for hosting some stuff I used to keep on GitHub. Some mysterious account called "sgitramp" signed up to be on it. When I search on Google, it looks like "sgitramp" signs up for a *lot* of independent Gitea instances. Does anyone know who or what this thing is?

@ocdtrekkie That is a good guess. There's an email account in the registration. I'll perhaps try asking nicely...

@roadriverrail Remove the "s" and "gitramp" sounds like some sort of service.
https://github.com/GitRamp exists but is empty. 🤔

@galaxis Honestly, this was a good wake-up call about what I've set up for myself. I made a Gitea so I could #GiveUpGitHub and I meant it mostly as a place to archive old work of mine. I really need to turn off user accounts or at least require admin approval for them.

@roadriverrail Now I'm tempted to set up a gitea just to see if and when that user tries to sign up too...
