   @fsologureng @MariaLiv @supernovae @atomicpoet Federating with Facebook will be until their terms. Do you think they’re stupid? That they’re spending goodness knows how much money to build something that will enable us to get their users to leave? The defining characteristic of their platforms is that they decide what their users see. Please, let’s not be naïve. You can’t lobby an algorithm.

     @supernovae Wow, yes, it really sounds like Facebook/Meta are idiots and they’re spending all this money so they can lose their main asset: users.

     I’m so glad we’re so clever and will just let them harm themselves.

     (And, ssshh, don’t let them hear us or they might get wise and stop.)

     @gme @atomicpoet @fsologureng @aral @MariaLiv If p92 users want to be free from algo, we should be making it easy for them to migrate instead of building walls to block them.

     Let p92 spend that money they have to open the doors so we can allow freedom of movement.

     anything less than that is failure on our behalf - failure of protocol and worse yet - failure of providing users agency.
