   I get and 100% support instance-blocking anything Meta puts up. I don’t understand instance-blocking instances that don’t block Meta?

   If someone who’s contemplating doing the latter is willing to explain/argue a little (in the “argue to understand” mode), I’d welcome it

     @thegibson @calcifer honesty if Facebook wants to graph the fediverse they'll just do it. They have all the money. hardware and people to just scrape the whole thing regardless of whether we want them to or not.
     
     Doesn't mean we should make it easy tho.

     @calcifer your data transfers to instances we federate with. If those instances federate with FB, then your data is still able to feed their social graphs.
