   Fosstodon and John Gruber both continue to trot out the whole “if you’re not private that means you’re okay with having your stuff scraped” line. I find it so tired. Just like when qoto rolled out secret follows (you could follow someone’s public posts without sending a follow request), the fact that an extremely dedicated person can climb a fence does not mean you should never have a fence
