I've never heard of dual-stack freight trains before!
No problem with electrified trains, you just need high clearance below the wires and a really tall pantograph.
Sweden runs double-decker passenger trains without any issues.

  @clacke and no bridges 🙂 The UK has a problem that a lot of the rail routes have bridges too low for double-decker passenger trains.
