   Recycling plastic anything is basically a myth at scale. The problem is worse for mixed products I.E. envelopes

   The sheer volume of padded/bubble envelopes is such that it may be more environmentally friendly to incinerate them

   Never thought I'd say that

     This symbol ♻️ (recycle) is basically a lie for all but two kinds of plastics: PET, numbered "1" in the triangle, and HDPE, numbered "2". And even these only get recycled if collected and stored properly. So almost none

     Virtually everything else gets chucked
