Just got back from an appointment with the BGE, the state-affiliated organisation that helps me with starting a company. Instead of progressing on that company, I made progress on my legal gender change. :queercat_heart_trans:
I asked my advisor if she could write a testimony about my gender identity. To change my legal gender, I have to show I am presenting myself on a daily basis as my self-identified gender, so I need to collect testimonies/material evidence supporting that.
My advisor was so kind and took it really seriously 🥰.
She made a testimony, which means she had to give me a copy of both faces of her ID card. She wrote a lot of things. She said that I've asked to be called Miya and referred to as a woman from the start. She also said she felt I had carefully considered this undertaking and that she thinks the change is necessary.
She gave me some material evidence available to her: a screenshot of their database showing I am registered under my new name and gender, and two emails we exchanged, including one where I thanked her for using my new name, to which she replied it was normal and that she supported me in my transition.
Tomorrow, I will ask my doctor to do the same, I hope it goes well!
