Many times more died just in June 2023 on EU borders. The EU border is orders of magnitude deadlier than the Berlin wall.
@hpk Without defending FRONTEX or the western border regime in the slightest, at least one salient difference is, I think, that the killings at the Iron Curtain were portrayed as being of people _leaving_ rather than _entering_ a territory.
