It seems odd that the IRS would take them. Working on limited sleep but I think the IRS was in charge of NFA items prior to the ATF. Since it was a federal tax stamp. -

@Chet @D-Droid @Shadowman311 Maybe the government is planning to tax all firearms. The IRS is doing all the legwork it can now to find out who gun owners are before guns start disappearing off the sides of boats -

This stuff has been happening for awhile. ATF doesn't need the past 20 years they have it all through NICS.
I am curious why it was the IRS that took the 4473s though. -

@Chet @Shadowman311 IRS is probably looking for people to start selectively attacking.
IRS gets the list of gunowners from the store and runs them through to find social media of purchasers and then begins to look up the financial records of people making Trump/Antifag posts online. If they find anything to charge them with they do it.
