     GOP cowards pass these laws to knowing they will get stuck down on the federal level.
     
     They will feign outrage and cry about Democrat control over the courts.
     
     "Vote for me! Donate to my reelection campaign. I'm the guy that tried and failed to do that thing you wanted."
     
     None of them will say the obvious or tell the federal courts and judges to fuck off.

     I'm now wondering if the constitutional design of "what isn't expressly forbidden is allowed" is wrong.
     
     People tend to get it bent, in that the bill of rights wasn't supposed to be an exhaustive list, but simply a list of things that they wouldn't start forbidding.
     
     The question is; does the british system of "loisense please" or the american one produce more tyranny?
