A lot of people prefer getting their info from books, and this is aimed at them. I bought a copy for myself and it was great 👍
I'm not going to link to a specific bookseller, they all have it, and local indie bookshops will be able to get it for you if you ask them to order it! 📚

I saw audiobook listed for the book's page on a major online book seller, so I assumed this had been released :/
Looking at it again, it says it hasn't been released. Guessing the listing was a mistake?

It looks like there's a narrator and a release date, so I don't think it's a mistake! The publisher usually does translations and adaptations without us knowing...it's just cool to see that it's happening!

Unfortunately, Wiley is the same entity that tried (but failed) to get rid of First Sale with Kirtsaeng, and they're also party to the lawsuit that sued the @internetarchive for having the audacity to lend books during a pandemic.
I don't want anything to do with a publisher that takes such a maximalist view of copyright it won't allow you to *sell* their books.

If it's ever translated, German would seem to be a good candidate as Mastodon is doing well there?
For example there are many accounts and instances for federal and state governments in Germany, as well as universities, towns and other public bodies. It might be the kind of book they would buy for their staff?
I've attached a clip from a popular German TV programme featuring the Mastodon logo in its opening credits.

I don't have any information on that at this point, but we hope so! Sometimes translations come out as long as 8 years after initial publication, and sometimes after 6 months. If I could show that there was strong demand for it, maybe we could make it happen sooner.
