Rowan Atkinson of all people, makes very logical and obvious point ripping apart the electric car industry. WTF are people like this so rare?

Sir Funk ?? (sophistifunk@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Tuesday, 20-Jun-2023 10:26:27 JST Sir Funk ?? @ned normie society is absolutely saturated with "net zero" and other such stupid fantasies around climate change being driven by watermelons around the world and impressionable children who have been told and genuinely believe we're all fucked and the world will end before they're old enough to retire.

I would respect someone who actually believed that an acted accordingly. Instead it's just an excuse for a new boondoggle.

Sir Funk ?? (sophistifunk@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Tuesday, 20-Jun-2023 10:46:30 JST Sir Funk ?? @ned of course. The impressionable children can't buy cars. But people who buy cars like status, and if they think there's more status in an electric car because of the media environment they're soaking in, that's where they'll spend.

holding onto a new car for longer, on average, means per people pay more for an older second hand car.
but being Mr bean, it will get read and some might think a bit more about EVs and fuel and realize where electricity prices are headed.we just had a 20% increase and 10% increase in service charge - getting close to 50c/kWh with 5c/kWh solar feed in rate... solar isn't worth much it seems...

Sir Nedwood - Sydney 🇦🇺 (ned@noagendasocial.com)'s status on Tuesday, 20-Jun-2023 19:59:27 JST Sir Nedwood - Sydney 🇦🇺 @philcolbourn it's more the fact that he's discussing the problem in a multi-dimensional way. Using infrastructure that already exists is infinitely better for the environment than forcing people to adopt and construct new infrastructure. Forcing people to buy new things is what you do to boost the economy. Which is exactly what this is all about. Money.

though i doubt he would be current with electronics and electrical engineering - i am probably wrong - but why would he be with enough money to not have to worry about it?
