@talon There have been some important improvements since that article, but it is still very much true that a neural network is (at best) the second best solution to any problem.
Don't get me wrong. This is a pretty good imitation. Probably some of the better ones I've heard. Once it chooses a theme it seems to be relatively consistent and stick with it. But just like most AI you have to ask yourself is it really worth it? This thing requires significant resources to run. And so far, none of the prompts I gave it were exactly what I was looking for. Just like how you have a broad idea of what you want, type your image prompt into stable diffusion, it comes out with something you didn't want and suddenly you realize you did know what it is you wanted and make it yourself? It's kinda like that.
So yeah the quality is bad, and once you play with it enough, it seems to be very predictable and very cautious. So uh... just... keep making music manually please. This ain't worth it. In the slightest.
