     I think it's either that English is different than French, in that having cake means eating it, and not possessing an uneaten cake, or the French are dumb. Possibly both. What say you @Jean_Philippe_Micheaux ?

     @Humpleupagus @memes_1336 and I'm not a language pro, but I always thought people were being kind of dumb by saying "You can't have your cake, and eat it too."

     Yes you can. Here, have a cake. Now eat it.

     I assumed it should say "You can't eat your cake, and have it too."

     Which makes more sense if you are making this point?

     But this is a screen shot of something on the internet, so it must be me who's wrong.
