This is a lot like me as well. I had very strong emotions that just became a swirling storm inside me I couldn’t release, and everything I was “supposed to do” felt foreign, while I just fit so intuitively with women friends and feminine things. I transitioned later as well, and it’s been an enormous relief.

@ValerieMars @sphinx @myslaconic @psiie Yes, this is very much like me, too. I mean, I *was* numb as well, but the numbness came from the elaborate effort needed to repress myself and put on a good, tough, stoic, but kind and supportive face. Life completely changed the day I called myself nonbinary and let myself start wearing my femme on the outside.

Fantastic graphic novel. (Also, Crystal Frasier is awesome.)
I always felt that panel didn't really describe my experiences, though. I didn't feel numb; there isn't really a word for how I felt. I needed to cry, but couldn't. I had surges of emotion I didn't understand. I felt like the things expected of me as a "man" were uncomfortable and incomprehensible.
