   Does it really surprise you? I know a lot of left-leaning and leftist people who support Russia's imperialism, blame NATO and the U.S. for the war, and stay mum about the war crimes committed by Putin's military. This war made it clear to me that I should not trust leftist people.

     @simsa04 Tbh. after i send this message, I checked my notes and he was kind of a complicated person back in 2009 when the actions happened. And no, it does not surprise me at all, it just makes me angry these days, that I once put my skin in the game to support such assholes.

     I do not trust leftist (identity category taken by them) since 2014 and rarely did before. As I wrote somewhere else, Its not about your self-alignment, or what you say you are, it is about what you do and your deeds speak louder than claims.

     @simsa04 Regarding Putin: I am fortunate enough to remember pictures from Grosny to ever fall for Russian imperialism as a friendly pat on the back, and if I ever fell for that, there would be enough Chechen, Poles and Ukrainian friends to ground me afterward.
