None. You don’t make headway by retreating. Have to be present to even make a difference.
The answer to switch away from Apple is dumb if you ask me. It’s like waking away from 1.8 billion people because you’re inconvenienced.
I think the answer is to stay and try to raise awareness - just as Damus is doing now. With enough loud voices on social media we can influence some Apple policy and have our way.
Apple is a strong brand. They don’t care if they lose you as a customer. But… they will fight tooth and nail to protect the brand. And nothing is worse for the brand than an angry mob on social media.
Stay in the game. Don’t give in. Don’t leave - that’s what they’d prefer. Keep talking, keep making noise and try to have it your way.

I don't get how you can say this in Nostr and not on Twitter. Why not "be present" on Twitter and try to make it better from there instead of exiting to Nostr?

What’s the lowest barrier way around Apple control on Apple devices? I don’t think the long term solution is exiting Apple devices and I don’t think there is the economic power to make a meaningful difference.
ie. We can switch to android, but it’s more work for us than it is a loss for Apple. (That said you should still get an android based for these cases and to experiment, I have a pixel 5 for this reason)
But I’m curious what everyone thinks the lowest hanging fruit is here? Want to collect a bunch of ideas. Is it just going 100% web apps? Is there another clever work around? Share thoughts 👇🏻👇🏻
