"Pedophilia at Pride" was a psyop by 4chan. It is based on American conservatives associating LGBTQ with sex predators, especially child predators. There is no connection with LGBTQ with pedophilia, but the association stuck. So now, people like DeSantis are pushing for laws banning LGBTQ people because we are pedophiles and sex predators

"Pedophilia" is not paraphilia. It is not talking about fictional depictions, like loli/shota/cub/etc. Pedophilia is pedophilia. You cannot be a pedophile who does not sexually assault children. That's what pedophilia means. You cannot be a murderer if you did not commit murder.
The word ペドフィリア is not fetish or kink. It is sexual assault.

Zoophilia is not paraphilia. It is different from furry/kemono. The word "zoophilia" is specifically to invoke the idea that LGBTQ people rape animals. It is not paraphilia, it is no a kink or fetish

Saying someone is a pedophile is different from saying that a person has a fetish or kink or does ABDL (Adult Baby Diaper Lover) etc. Pedophilia means pedophilia, there is a specific use case for it. It is what neo-Nazis use to destabilize LGBTQ rights by saying that gay and trans people rape children
Seeing ペドフィリア appear on the timeline is deeply triggering to people who were sexually assaulted as children. Normalizing pedophiles, who are by definition sexual predators, in vulnerable spaces is dangerous and a threat. Again: I am not talking about fetish or kink or fictional depictions. I am talking about pedophilia, which is what the hashtag said.

For another example: There are people who are into BDSM. To many people, it looks like sexual assault, but it is between consenting adults. So we don't say that they are raping each other, and we don't have hashtags saying "stop discriminating against rapists." Because rape and BDSM are entirely separate, and conflating the two is extremely dangerous.
