   Saw a shouty-caps timecube-like meme passing by that insisted that life having a genetic "program" implies a "programmer".

   That chain of logic doesn't hold. Evolution through natural selection explains how local enthropy can decrease without a guiding intelligence or consciousness.

   You don't need an intelligence or consciousness to create something intelligent or conscious, that's not a logical step you can throw in there without explanation.

     @clacke Also anyone who says that, hasn't seen a lot of corporate code, which was clearly not made by an intelligent designer.

     @clacke and even if there was a programmer, they must've gotten bored with their project by now, or have completely forgotten about it, or are disgusted by how it turned out...
