     growing up and becoming independent means being responsible for interpersonal relationships yourself. a child that is overly protected by its parents will turn out socially retarded.
     
     if there is a bad teacher and you raised your son or daughter correctly, they will know how to react, whom to inform and to trust you as a parent with help where necessary.
